More than half of pregnant women will have some degree of stretch marks. There are many things that may effect whether or not you get stretch marks...things like how much weight you gain, how fast you gain the weight and some studies even suggest that genetics may play a role in whether or not you get stretch marks.
At 38 weeks pregnant I've managed not to get any stretch marks. That could be a good thing or mean absolutely nothing as anything is liable to happen in the next two or more weeks I have to go. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope that I continue to maintain a stretch mark free belly. Below is my regimen that I've been using to keep my belly moisturized to try to help prevent the "warrior wounds" of pregnancy...stretch marks. So far it has been working.
1. Avocado Oil (Unrefined)
2. Raw Shea Butter
3. Glycerin or Castor Oil
I apply these three items, in this order twice a day every day and so far I have no stretch marks. I will do a follow up after I have the baby to report it I remained stretch mark free.
